Wharfedale built SW-12 with non-pressed paper cones to enhance self-damping, improve transient impact, and increase the structural rigidity of the cone itself. SW-12's center vents are lined with copper to reduce the magnetic distortion and improve heat dissipation. On the back panel, two line-in inputs, a mono line-in input, and a phase inversion switch complement handsome looks and a continuously variable crossover that provides easy integration with existing loudspeakers. Measuring 19.2 x 15.6 x 18 (HWD), and weighing nearly 49 pounds, SW-12 is one mighty cube.
