Replacement Stylus for Innovative, Affordable Ortofon Concorde Elite Moving-Magnet Phono Cartridge
The phono cartridge experts at Ortofon have elevated the level of performance possible in a premium, affordable, moving-magnet (MM) cartridge by crafting the trailblazing Concorde Elite. Engineered with passion and featuring cutting-edge technology, the Concorde Elite offers superb tracking ability to extract micro-details from vinyl grooves and draw you closer to your favorite music. This replacement stylus will save you money and extend the life of your Concord Elite—and, of course, deliver incredible sonics.
The cartridge features a new, precisely molded stylus body with real gold plating. Encased by the gold is a nude elliptical diamond stylus, along with a rigid aluminum cantilever. This brilliant architecture allows the Concorde Elite to deliver a sound so powerful and detailed, with such wide dynamics, that it evokes the experience of attending a concert.
The utilization of a nude elliptical diamond allows for a smaller moving mass, which leads to smooth, superior performance. The slim profile of the nude elliptical diamond enables it to follow the groove oscillations in vinyl with extreme precision. The design allows it to extract subtle, intricate details, and convey even the highest-frequency information.
About Ortofon
A great success story began on October 9, 1918, when two Danish engineers—Axel Petersen (1887–1971) and Arnold Poulsen (1889–1952)—founded the Electrical Phono Film Company. Their collaborators were a few capable, visionary businessmen who would support the organization financially. Their goals were to explore the possibility of high-end recording and to develop one of the first synchronized sound film systems in the world. Under relatively primitive conditions, these two remarkable Danish engineers and their small staff solved numerous issues that were once considered insurmountable, due to technical limitations.
In 1948, Ortofon developed its first moving-coil cartridge. Since then, more than 300 different cartridges have been created.
Today, Ortofon is a powerhouse in the audiophile world, developing and manufacturing world-class phono cartridges, as well as components for the hearing-aid industry. The Ortofon manufacturing facility in Nakskov, Denmark, has cutting-edge machinery run by experienced operators. This ideal combination ensures the superior craftsmanship and outstanding quality control that has made the name Ortofon revered around the globe.
