Built around a robust engine that delivers 80Wpc of trademarked HybridDigital UcD output and an ESS SABRE ES9028 DAC that supports up to 32-bit/284kHz performance, the 19.1-pound C 379 plays with supremely low distortion, captures rich detail, and provides spectacular dynamics. Since its free from clock jitter common to most digitally based units, C 379 also offers levels of accuracy and soundstaging associated with equipment that belongs to a different (and higher) price class.
When it comes to being prepared for future advances in technology, C 379 throws down with two MDC2 slots that allow you the opportunity to update its capabilities without having to buy an entirely different amplifier. Second-generation MDC invites you to add technologies such as Dirac Live, BluOS, AirPlay 2, aptX HD Bluetooth, and more — such as the ability to connect to a home network via WiFi or Ethernet for 24-bit/192kHz wireless multi-room playback. Exceptional versatility is also already on-board courtesy of connectivity that includes HDMI eARC; an MM phonostage with RIAA equalization; two subwoofer outputs; a separate, high-level headphone amplifier; and an array of optical and coaxial inputs.
Measuring 3.9 x 17. 1 x 15.4 inches (HWD), C 379 outputs more than 120Wpc of instantaneous power (four ohms) for short-term transients and, for more versatility and power, can be bridged in mono mode with the NAD C 268 to supply up to 300Wpc of pure, clean continuous power.
