And the vertical tracking angle (VTA) is fully adjustable — a feature seldom seen in this price class.
In addition to a synchronous AC motor, Teflon-sheathed stainless-steel bearing, and balanced alloy platter, MMF Mark1 comes with an excellent-sounding Ortofon OM 5E MM phono cartridge pre-mounted for out-of-the-box use. Its elliptical stylus helps provide balanced, distortion-free playback. Due to their contoured shape, elliptical diamonds can follow the groove oscillations with extreme accuracy (when compared to spherical diamonds). The proof is audible and measurable via accurate tracking, minimized distortion, and dynamic responsivesness.
Other advantages on MMF Mark1 extend to magnetic anti-skating and vibration-damping adjustable feet. In addition to the aforementioned cartridge, a factory-set, pre-adjusted, fixed counterweight makes setup a breeze. A dust cover and 45RPM adapter are also included.
