Featuring a static-balanced J-shaped aluminum tonearm inspired by the company’s iconic 1960s and 70s designs, AT-LP8X automatically lifts the tonearm once the side of record is finished and stops the motor. This braking system allows you to relax once a side is done and prevents you from worrying about not making it over to the ‘table in time before your cartridge drags through dead grooves or, worse, contacts the center label. Plus, AT-LP8X comes with an AT-LT10 headshell and AT-VM95E BK cartridge with 0.3 x 0.7-mil elliptical stylus that delivers excellent channel separation and tonal balance.
Able to play 33, 45, and 78RPM LPs, AT-LP8X bolsters its audiophile quality with a 25mm rubber-damped, die-cast aluminum platter and corresponding sensor-monitored DC servo motor that provides speed accuracy, smoothness, and consistency. The motor and the ‘table’s internal power supply reside in a 16mm-thick plinth equipped with height-adjustable feet that ensure even-keeled leveling as well as added protection against noise and vibration. A 2.5mm-thick rubber mat, removable hinged dustcover, detachable RCA output cable, and 45RPM adapter help turn this into a total turntable package.
