The Beloved CD Changer Returns: Yamaha CD-C603 Five-Disc Player Features Audiophile-Minded Layout and Circuitry, Total Convenience and Plenty of Fun Long live the CD changer!

The much-beloved, must-have audio device of the ‘90s is back in the form of the Yamaha CD-C603, a five-disc CD player/changer that offers finer fidelity than any of its predecessors and comes specifically engineered for audiophile performance.

Short signal paths, high-end circuitry, an intelligent digital servo, and a floating laser-pickup mechanism combine to play your discs with exceptional balance, detail, clarity, and dynamics.

Play Direct Mode means you can hear your collection with the lowest-possible interference — and is the same feature found on Yamaha’s upper-tier amplifiers and receivers. Pressing the button on the front panel or remote control shuts down the digital audio output and turns off the display. So, enjoy the silence.

Of course, the coolest aspect of CD-C603 relates to the fact it holds up to five discs and lets you hear their contents in the order you want. And yes, it comes with Play XChange, so you can swap out up to four discs while the fifth disc remains in rotation.

The 12.3-pound CD-C603 can even play up to 24-bit/96kHz files stored on a USB drive. You’ll find the USB input on the front panel along with an optical output and RCA outputs on the back.

A remote control and two-year manufacturer warranty round out a terrific blast from the past (and party essential) that should be part of your listening future!
